Make Sexy Time a Priority during the holidays

Make Sexy Time a Priority during the holidays - Krazy Muscle Nutrition
Finding time for intimacy and connection during the holiday season, even when feeling tired or frustrated, can be challenging.  But the holidays will be so much more fun if you continue to maintain a strong and healthy relationship. Here are some tips to help prioritize intimacy during the holidays, even when faced with fatigue or stress:

Communication is Key

Open and honest communication with your partner is fundamental. Discuss your feelings and concerns about time, stress, and fatigue during the holidays. Understanding each other's perspectives and acknowledging the challenges can help in finding a middle ground. Further, there are more things that can cause arguments this time of year.  We are all faced with family dynamics, blended family issues, gift giving differences and different expectations on what the holiday looks like.  Sit down over a nice dinner and discuss your holiday plans, your expectations and your budget.  This way you are working as a team and setting clear expectations. Remember also that holidays trigger all kinds of emotions in people.  You may not know exactly what your partner is going through.  Make sure you are giving extra support, and asking for it when you need it.

Schedule Intimate Time

Consider scheduling intimate moments together. While we know this isn't always fun and spontaneity seems more sexy it can be difficult when your schedule is busier than normal.  Setting aside dedicated time for each other can help ensure that you both prioritize and anticipate those moments, even amid busy holiday schedules. Quite often couples will schedule morning sexy time, before the kids are up or the workday starts.

Prioritize Self-Care

Take care of yourself to minimize fatigue and stress. This includes getting enough sleep, engaging in physical activity, and finding moments of relaxation or stress relief. When you take care of your own well-being, you're better equipped to engage in intimate moments.

Small Gestures Matter

Intimacy doesn’t always have to mean grand gestures. Small acts of affection, such as cuddling, holding hands, or sharing a meaningful conversation, can also strengthen the emotional connection between partners. Have you ever seen those couples that are always giving those looks, or small touches even in passing, or leaving the fun and flirty sticky note or text.  The small gestures make each of us feel cherished, and also set our hormones in motion.  And that leads to wanting more sex with our partner.

Create a Relaxed Environment

Set the mood by creating a relaxing environment. Light some candles, play soothing music, or simply dim the lights to create an ambiance that encourages relaxation and intimacy.

Be Flexible and Understanding

Be flexible with your expectations and be understanding of your partner's feelings. Sometimes, unexpected events or high stress levels can interfere with plans. It’s important to adapt and find alternatives that work for both of you.

Be Present in the Moment

When you're together, be fully present in the moment. Leave distractions aside, be it work, social media, or other concerns, and focus on connecting with your partner. Mindfulness during intimate moments can significantly enhance the experience.

Experiment and Have Fun

Try to inject some fun and excitement into your intimate moments. Experiment with new activities or simply laugh together. Enjoying each other's company and having fun can help reduce stress and foster a stronger connection. Try making an advent calendar for you and your partner- then you will have something to look forward to every day!

Remember, while the holiday season can be overwhelming, the focus should be on nurturing your relationship and prioritizing intimacy despite the challenges. With open communication, understanding, and the willingness to make time for each other, you can maintain a strong connection and keep the flame of intimacy burning during the holiday season.
